Open Payments Database

The Open Payments database is a federal tool used to search payments made by drug and device companies to physicians and teaching hospitals. For informational purposes only, a link to the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Open Payments web page is provided here.     The federal Physician Payments Sunshine Act requires that detailed information about payment and other payments of value worth over ten dollars ($10) from manufacturers of drugs, medical devices, and biologics to physicians and teaching hospitals be made available to the public.

Insurance

While I do not contract with insurance companies, I do assist my patients by providing the paperwork necessary to submit into their insurance carriers for reimbursement. I am considered an “out-of-network” physician for PPO insurance plans.  Practicing this way allows me to provide the kind of care I feel is most helpful, without having to spend substantial amounts of time on paperwork. Additionally, it ensures complete patient confidentiality for patients who elect not to notify their insurance carriers or employers of provided care.

Cancellation policy

I understand that there may be times when you will need to change an appointment. I request 24 hours advance notice of cancellation or else I will need to charge you for that session (unless I am able to fill your time with another appointment). Please be aware that insurance companies will not reimburse for a missed appointment.
